Rekombinante Herstellung von antimikrobiellen Proteinen aus Schimmelpilzen und Charakterisierung ihrer Wirkungsweise.

Aim: Generation of new antimicrobial bio-molecules for improved treatment of viral, bacterial and fungal infections. Methodology: state-of-the art techniques in microbiology, molecular biology and biochemistry (e.g. cultivation of microorganisms, cloning, protein purification, fluorescence microscopy).

Requirements: Master study of microbiology, basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of microbiology, molecular biology and biochemistry. Motivation, diligence, good scientific practice and teamwork are prerequisites for a successful master thesis.

Time frame: immediate start, duration: maximum 8-12 months (composition of the master thesis included).
