About

WG Speth

Innate immunity is a central host defence against fungal infections since it can immediately react on a broad spectrum of fungal species. We concentrate on two innate immune weapons, complement and platelets. Studying the human pathogens Aspergillus, Candida and mucormycetes we analyse complement activation and platelet stimulation in vitro as well as in vivo.
