Professor Lass-Flörl has specialized in the field of medical microbiology, focusing on opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. Her research interests include advances in basic medical microbiology, with a special interest in epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention and therapy of fungal infections, antifungal susceptibility testing, and hospital-acquired infections.
